Human-centred design (HCD) is about understanding people’s needs so you can design and deliver great customer experiences that are rooted in those needs.
As well as illuminating the customers’ perspective, human-centred design also allows you to deeply understand the problem you’re trying to solve and come up with effective solutions.
In this workshop, you’ll have an introduction to HCD and practically apply the design process to a ‘customer experience’ challenge.
We'll work in groups and take on 'designer' and 'customer' roles and work through a design process.
In this workshop, you’ll:
Understand how human-centred design can create amazing customer experiences that are rooted in people’s needs.
Start developing a high-level understanding of human-centred design principles and values and how they're applied in practice.
Build awareness of varying motivations that drive human behaviour and emotions and how this impacts on experience and practice.
Create awareness about the power of empathy and how to put your customers at the centre of everything you do.
This is a two-hour workshop. All you need is an open, positive and curious mindset—everything else will be provided for.
There are limited spaces, so please book your ticket soon! People who work in and for WeWork can come for free (email Alex for code). Early Bird tickets are $39 (available until the 21st of April, limited numbers). Regular tickets are $55.
